National campaign tackles stigma of bladder and bowel issues

June 27, 2019

Mitrofanoff Support recently worked with Mediaplanet on the 2019 Health Awareness: Bladder and Bowel campaign. A printed publication was enclosed within every copy of the Guardian newspaper and the content is available online at www.healthawareness.co.uk.

The campaign featured exclusive content from key thought leaders and industry voices about eliminating the stigma of bladder and bowel conditions and highlighting the treatments available as well as innovation in speeding up diagnosis and recovery.

Claire Griffin, campaign manager at Mediaplanet, said “I want to thank Mitrofanoff Support for being part of our Bladder and Bowel campaign. We are so grateful for all the work that has gone in to making this campaign outstanding, and hope to share far and wide to address the stigma and highlight the innovation and progress within bladder and bowel health!”

Our Marketing Manager, Rachel Wall, contributed an article entitled “How To Keep Your Bladder Healthy After Having The Mitrofanoff Surgery” which has top tips to reduce the risk of complications following the procedure. It can be found at https://www.healthawareness.co.uk/bladder-and-bowel/how-to-keep-your-bladder-healthy-after-having-the-mitrofanoff-surgery/
